Get to Know the Photographer

Duck Photo Hey everyone, I’m Robert Taylor, the founder and owner of TheLifeWeCapture. I'd like to share a some details about myself, my photography, and the vision I have for this brand so you all can have an idea of who I am, where it all started for TLWC, and where I plan to lead this brand in the coming future. For years I’ve dreamt of building a platform that allows me to explore my own creativity, and specifically one that would offer me the chance to work remotely. I've always loved the idea of being able to work from anywhere, at anytime, and running an online business seemed to be the no-brainer option. Of course, that is much easier said than done. But that brings us to the birth of TheLifeWeCapture, which came about in 2016, and back then it was something very small and just a glimpse of an entire dream to come. As of 2025, this project, one of lots of labor and love, has began evolving into something truly special. I had no idea the amount of work I had set out for myself and it has been a rollercoaster of learning, stressing, and a battle between hopes and doubts ever since I first had the idea way back when. I've done a lot of trial and error to get to this point, but as of now I feel it's truly time that this project is about to take it's next leap forward.

Sample Image 2 I've always been a creative and imaginative type so I was drawn to arts of all kinds. I'd say creative writing, perspective drawing and sketching, and photography have grown to become my favorite art forms over the years so it felt right to turn my interests into a lifelong career. I settled on photography and creative writing to be the center focus of TLWC because the world of photography just seems so connected thanks to online platforms. To me, it's truly amazing that we all have the ability to see moments captured from anywhere in the world, and it's extra special to find photographers who have a passion for their craft and are open to sharing their experiences with me so I can write up personalized articles to showcase their talents. Personally, my favorite styles of photography are wildlife, long exposures, minimalism, and macro photos. However, as I've become more involved with the world of photography I've found myself captivated by so many different styles and niches all while learning the ins and outs of what it takes to truly capture masterful compositions. Connecting with photographers has provided me with an eagerness to master my own photography and seeing their works of art encourages me to get out there to practice to capture and create my own.

Sample Image 1 I definitely don't currently get out as much as I want to take my own photos, but as I begin to finish up the backlog of backend work for TLWC, I plan to make more of an effort to get out into the field to hone in on my craft. One of my other addictive hobbies is playing golf, so I do what I can to intertwine the two while I'm out playing. Golf courses make for beautiful natural scenic views, which makes a wonderful place to work on framing techinques or landscape photos. The only down fall is those are usually just photos taken with my iPhone, but I do have plans to go course to course with my Canon so I can really work on capturing high quality shots. I've even toyed with the idea of creating a TLWC_Golf page dedicated to the beauty golf courses have to offer, but there's other work that needs to be finished before I set out on adding even more to my plate, lol.

Sample Image 2 Recently, I've spent my time startegizing, researching, and generating content with value for TheLifeWeCapture and I have been working tirelessly on revamping the website to what you see it as today. I really wanted to make an interactive hub where photographers can come to learn, practice, and share their photos with a supportive and welcoming community, while also providing an entertainment value for visitors who are interested in reading about beauitful places, exciting stories from photographers experiences, and even supporting their local photographers by purchasing some of their prints. There are a lot of other features currently in the works, like a wedding photography directory, wholesale portfolios curated with partnered photographers, and video course subscriptions, but for now TLWC is an online photography hub that's free for anyone to enjoy. One of the most incredible parts of this project thus far is the support I've received from fellow photographers who can also see the vision I have for this brand. Their support truly means the world to me and it all constantly lives as a reminder for me to keep going and bring this dream of mine to life. You can visit @tlwc_owner to follow along with my updated portfolio, see some select images below which I'll update from time to time, and please always feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions regarding TLWC 😊
