Robert Taylor's Profile
Meet The Photographer

Duck Photo
Hey everyone! I'm Robert, the founder and sole owner of TheLifeWeCapture photography brand. I'll use my profile page to share a bit about my creative background, why I started TLWC in the first place, and my goals for the company, as well as feature some of my own favorite captures that I've taken recently. Before I get into it, I'd just like to thank you for giving TLWC a look, and I'd also like to welcome you to join our free photography community by getting involved with our social media posts, or even by sharing your own photos and story by signing up to get featured!

Creative Background & TheLifeWeCapture

Thankfully, I seem to be geared with a natural surplus of creativity and imagination. While sometimes it feels like a curse just as much as it feels like a blessing, it has given me the opportunity to create some wonderful things in my life. While photography is one avenue I pursue with my creative talents, I also enjoy a variety of others such as sketching and drawing, designing 3D worlds and characters for video games, creative storytelling for games, and writing all TLWC blogs.

Overall, it's simply fun for me to create in any avenue of life. I enjoy taking the vivid commotion that goes on inside my head and bringing my imagination into the real world. The process of figuring out how to do so is an addictive type of stimulation I'm always eager to follow. My hope is that others enjoy what I create just as much as I enjoyed creating it in the first place.

Now, why TheLifeWeCapture? Aside from coming up with such a rad and fitting name for a photography brand, I've always dreamt about running and creating my own company. A goal of mine is to be able to work remotely and have a career in doing some I truly love that allows me to express all of my creative talents. The more I thought about it, the more it became a no brainer to establish a brand name and company focused and centered around one of my interests.

At first it was a creative writing idea where I'd just write blogs about my interests and articles for photographers to share their own stories, but I wanted it to grow into something even greater. I wanted it to be a full on brand that could help and support photographers all over the world. I want TheLifeWeCapture to become a resource for photographers to learn, to share, and to even earn an income for their work. I have so much in the pipeline to help out photographers and I cannot wait to push the updates to bring even more value to the world of photography.

Photography Gear & Favorite Niches

Believe it or not I still consider myself a beginner photographer, which might seem a little ironic since I run a photography brand. The reason I still consider myself a beginner is because I feel like I don't have enough hours behind the lens with a camera in hand. Now that I have the foundation for TLWC set my new goal for my own photography journey is to get out as much as possible and explore a few specific niches I've been interested in for the longest time. I'll be looking the master long exposure photography, mainly with the use of river streams and maybe some light trails in the city. I'll be focusing on wildlife photography and creating a checklist of animals to photograph in hope to learn framing techinques that captures their unique existence. Lastly, I love the mountains so I'd like to venture off into them to capture moody scenes in their forests as well as some dramatic landscape shots.

There are a variety of other styles of photography I truly enjoy; macro, portrait, B&W, minimalism, but I don't want to overwhelm myself with trying to perfect too many things at once. Plus, since our Instagram is full of all styles of photography I can get my fair taste and even inspiration from the photographers we follow that have specialized in those areas. I always welcome tagging TheLifeWeCapture account on your posts so I can show my support for all of your projects. I love to see what everyone is working, what they're capturing, and what they've experienced in their journey.

Fun Extras w/ Robert Taylor

1. Why did you start TheLifeWeCapture?
To express creative freedom of photography and to build a business that allows me to work from anywhere while also allowing me to connect with other creatives all over the world.
2. What's one dream photo you're eagerly wanting to capture?
I'd really like to take wildlife photography more seriously and capture moody scenes in the mountains. Oh, and capture some wild long exposure photos of river streams.
3. Is there anything else you'd love for TLWC visitors to know about you?
Outside of TLWC I'm currently working on building my own video game from complete scratch! All of the character designs, writing code scripts, developing a storyline and building the whole world where it'll all take place. It's a very fun project to see come to life.
